At Iconic Fencing Club, we provide both group classes and individual lessons:

Classes are 60 minutes long, where students will learn and hone skills with other fencers

Lessons are 20 minutes long, and are one-on-one with a personal coach

Introductory Class

Our Program for beginners - if you are new to fencing, this is where you’ll learn all the necessary skills to proceed and succeed! New fencers will learn the importance of the fundamentals of fencing. This includes learning the basics of footwork, bladework, and fencing bouts, all in a fun and engaging way. Class attendees will work together on their development through guided exercises and drills.

One free 20 minute one-on-one lesson with Head Coach Cooper Johnson is included with the Intro Class Package

Youth Class

Our Program for fencers under 13 years old. Whether you have completed the intro class and want to continue your fencing journey, or if you already know how to fence, this class is for our younger students. Youth fencers will continue to work on the fundamentals, developing their knowledge of concepts, rules, and fencing etiquette. Students are led through footwork and bladework drills with their peers to reinforce learning. Class attendees are introduced to strategic bouting and will develop critical thinking skills.

Intermediate Class

Our Program for fencers above the age of 12 who have either completed the introductory class, or are coming in with prior fencing experience. Students in this program will continue to develop their fencing knowledge, skills, and techniques through structured footwork drills, bladework drills, and strategic bouting. This program focuses on the development of techniques and concepts more advanced than the basics. Students will further develop their analytical and critical thinking skills, which are essential to success on the strip. Students are encouraged to compete in USFA sanctioned fencing events.

Advanced Class

Our Program for our high-level older fencers who are invested in improving their skills and competing in tournaments. Students in this program will learn, develop, and implement advanced concepts and techniques. Class involves fencing-focused conditioning, advanced bladework drills, footwork drills, structured strategic bouting, critical thinking discussions, and bout analysis. Students are required to compete in USFA sanctioned fencing events.
